Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 (Emphasis supplied).
One cannot keep the commandments and not have the faith of Jesus. That is because keeping the 4th commandment results in having the faith of Jesus. It results in having the faith of Jesus because it demands that we only sow to the Spirit and not the flesh.
As a result of doing this work every day all day the Holy Spirit seals us by crucifying our flesh and reproducing the life of Jesus in us (see Galatians 2:20). The more the life of Jesus is reproduced in us the less we walk by the power of the flesh and the more we walk by the power of the faith of Jesus (see Galatians 6:7-9). The more we walk by the faith of Jesus the more we keep the 4th commandment. The more we keep the 4th commandment the more the loving character of Jesus is perfected in our lives. The more the loving character of Jesus is perfected in our lives the more we have the testimony of Jesus. The more we have the testimony of Jesus, the more the everlasting gospel is preached worldwide. The more the everlasting gospel is preached worldwide the sooner Jesus will return to put an end to sin and establish His everlasting kingdom of righteousness (see II Peter 3:9-14 & Revelation 21:1-5).
The 4th commandment holds the key to receiving the seal of God because those who remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy will sow to the Spirit 24/7 and walk in the power and holiness of the faith of Jesus. Those who do not keep remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy will sow to the flesh 24/7 and walk in the power of their flesh: Those who walk in the power of their flesh cannot keep the commandments because all that they do is polluted by the sinfulness of their flesh, even their professed Sabbath keeping (see Isaiah 64:6 & Romans 8). This is why we are told in Romans 3:20-23:
3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 3:22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Emphasis supplied).
In my next blog I am going to deal with how the faith of Jesus seals us and guarantees our salvation. Until then I leave you with this text of scripture to ponder and pray over:
3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 3:25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 3:26 To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 3:27 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law… 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
